1.) Buy from an authorized reseller. Avoid DH Gate, Alibaba Express, and eBay if at all possible, and make sure you have an unconditional guarantee from any online seller. We find that the majority of products claiming to be authentic jars of Egyptian Magic are in fact counterfeit on those websites.

2.) Insist on buying a jar that it has a printed Use By date and lot code information. If a printed code is there, make sure it is not adulterated in any way.
